I’ve been trying to meditate everyday, this past week I haven’t done any since my littlest in on spring break and being only four year old she demands all the attention. She goes back tomorrow and hopefully I’ll be able to get back into the swing of mediating.
I am currently trying to find space to hold a tarot circle. I know people that want to participate and I would like to open up to the community. Finding the space hasn’t been easy, and I keep waving on if I will be able to do this without the space. I just keep projecting the idea out there, and believing that I will find the space eventually.
Last night I discovered a documentary series called Small Town Monsters. The first one I watched about The Beast of Bray Road. Werewolves. Aside from going into the sightings that people saw in this small town, they always went into great detail about the history of werewolves. Werewolves aren’t something that I’ve ever been interested in, and aside from Hollywood movies not something I knew much about. But learning a bit more about them was very interesting. One of the origin stories that caught my interest the most was the story of Lycaon. In short, Lycaon wanting to know if Zeus was a real god, killed one of his sons to serve to Zeus at dinner. Zeus brought the boy back to live and turned Lycaon into a wolf as punishment.
